Homes for Sale in Crenshaw
Crenshaw Real Estate Listings in California
The Crenshaw District is a diverse and culturally rich community located near the heart of Los Angeles. Home to nearly 30,000 residents, the city has experienced a renaissance of sorts in the form of new development in the residential, commercial and retail sectors. This Los Angeles suburb is defined by its towering palm trees that line commercial and neighborhood streets. Along those streets is a fine mix of attractive and affordable housing in all price ranges in addition to a variety of privately owned businesses that cater to area residents. Real estate options consist of single-family homes, condominiums and townhouses.
Two primary retail and entertainment centers are the Baldwin Hills-Crenshaw plaza shopping mall and the 12-screen Magic Johnson Theatres multiplex. Crenshaw has a high home ownership rate among residents and is a very proud community. Its proximity to downtown Los Angeles, the South Bay beaches, Santa Monica and the Wilshire Boulevard business district provides residents with a host of educational, recreational and employment opportunities all within an easy commute.
Although Los Angeles is famous for its complex freeway network, Crenshaw's centralized location makes most of the region and its vast amenities accessible by city streets and avenues. In fact, Crenshaw Boulevard, the city's main thoroughfare, stretches all the way from Wilshire Boulevard at Los Angeles' Museum Row south to Rolling Hills which is nestled near the base of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. | Crenshaw City Guide |
